Cardmaking and Gift Bag Station

I wish I could say that I am really good at getting greeting cards out to family and friends each Rosh Hashanah, but it is not my strong suit. Some years I have resorted to a family email and other years I may not even have gotten to that. Young artists and early writers are here to help, though, and will likely be up for the challenge! And the short amount of time it takes to put together a small caddy or station of necessary materials can keep your children busy in a meaningful way for quite a while. Below is a list of suggested items you may wish to include. Use what you have, add in anything else of interest and do not worry about the rest!

Suggested Materials:
● Paper in a variety of colors and sizes
● Blank note cards
● Blank white gift bags
● Recycled Rosh Hashanah cards
● Apple stickers, bee stickers, or other holiday themed stickers
● Glue, scissors, tape
● Recycled magazines
● Markers, crayons, pens, pencils
● For early writers, you may want to include common holiday words so they can copy and
write
The materials can be used to create Rosh Hashanah cards and gift bags for teacher or
host/hostess gifts. Children will love being a part of this activity and it will take some of the
weight and pressure off of you. And the recipients will absolutely adore these handcrafted
treasures.
