Honey Squish Bags

Honey Squish Bags.jpg

Honey Squish Bags are a clever way for little ones (even very little ones) to explore the texture of honey without getting sticky fingers. When my kids are too young to taste honey, I invite them to experience this important Rosh Hashanah icon through a simple DIY Honey Squish Bag. When using plastic bags and honey around young children please make sure you can supervise for safety. To prepare your squish bag, fill a sandwich sized ziplock with a small amount of honey and seal tightly. For extra security, I like to tape over the seal and sometimes I’ll even tape the bag down to the floor with masking tape. Little hands can squish and push on the bag and it’s a fabulous way to encourage tummy time for babies!
